Traditional Venezuelan dish. It is a plate of rice, shredded beef in stew and stewed black beans that is considered by many to be the Venezuelan national dish.
Picada
Often served on large platters, picadas are usually served at gatherings and for special occasions. Prepared with pieces of steak, chicken, arepa, potato, yuca (cassava), morcilla, chorizo, and plantain.
Parrilla
Usually consists of beef alongside various other meats, which are cooked on a grill, called a parrilla. The term is used both for the barbecue techniques and the gathering around a barbecue.
